ABOUT INBIBO

Production software and consultancy services for film, TV, and games.

Inbibo was founded in 2020 by Marco Romeo after many years building production technology for major Hollywood films and TV shows. Collectively, our team has decades of experience building tools and technology that has been used to make great movies, TV shows, and videogames in studios all over the world. We are driven by turning that hard-won knowledge into applications and frameworks that any studio can use.

 

Inbibo offers two products, AdonisFX and Shift, alongside a consultancy practice that works directly with studios on bespoke production challenges. We are a blended team of specialised developers and researchers that push the limits of what's possible but remain grounded in real production needs.

Marco Romeo

CTO & FOUNDER

 

Marco founded Inbibo after many years spent at leading VFX studios including MPC Film and El Ranchito. His credits include The Lion King and Game of Thrones (IMDb).

He holds a PhD from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and has published research in muscle and fascia simulation in Computer Graphics Forum.

Paul Doyle

CEO

 

Paul's career started at Alienbrain, Avid, and Softimage. He was the founding CEO of Fabric Software Inc, maker of Fabric Engine.

He has held senior leadership roles at MPC Film (Global Head of R&D), Epic Games (product lead on MetaHuman and Unreal Engine animation), and Annapurna Pictures. Inbibo feels very much like he's back to his roots.

Everything we do is grounded in our production experience of solving hard problems and making sure the technology delivered. We learn from how our customers solve their production problems with our tools, and then we roll that knowledge back in to our development process. Our aim is to build credible software that makes sense to people in production.

Above everything else, we want to help people make great work. We know that the best work comes from high-quality feedback and powerful workflows. We build tools that artists want to use because we understand their world. Intuitive controls, immediate feedback, and software that understands how you actually work.

Research Driven

Our team is a mixed crew blending production know-how and research excellence. We're practical, but we also want to push what's possible. Our simulation technology is driven by cutting-edge research, optimized for production performance and quality. Much of our current research focus is on leveraging machine learning and other technologies to accelerate performance and to improve creative workflows.

Studio Partnerships

We work directly with leading studios to ensure our software integrates seamlessly into existing pipelines and workflows. Studios are often seeking to solve hard, original problems while under a production deadline.
