Character and Creature Development
We have implemented Adonis for hero characters in multiple blockbuster movies from major studios. Whether you need one high-complexity hero creature or a scalable system that works across a cast, we've built both under production conditions.
Simulation & Dynamics
Beyond muscle & tissue systems, our team has expertise in simulation and dynamics and has delivered custom solutions for facial simulation and fur/hair groom tools used in movies such as Snow White and Mufasa: The Lion King.
Adonis Integration & Deployment
If your studio is evaluating or adopting AdonisFX, we can help you move faster. We can create a full training program to bring your creative teams up to speed with the Adonis framework and collaborate with them to set up full production assets that can be used in live production tests.
AI Research & Development
Many studios are exploring how AI can be used to accelerate and augment creature workflows. However, building in-house expertise and making meaningful advances can be challenging. Aside from building our own machine learning products, we have also been exploring how generative AI workflows can be applicable to high-quality production work. It depends entirely on the scope. We quote for each engagement individually based on what the work actually requires.
We work remotely as standard, which keeps costs down for studios. If on-site time would benefit the project, we’re open to that conversation, though travel and accommodation costs would need to be covered by the client.
Yes. We deliver our work using AdonisFX and Shift because that’s how we guarantee the quality of what we produce. What you do with the output, and how it fits into your existing pipeline, is up to you. You don’t need to adopt our tools to work with us, in the same way you don’t need to change your infrastructure to bring in specialist expertise.
All of our creature and character work uses AdonisFX, so it will be part of any engagement. That said, you don't need to have it already set up in your pipeline. AdonisFX adapts to a wide range of production styles and character types, from photorealistic hero creatures to stylised and toon animation, so it's rarely the case that it won't fit how you work.
Some of our most useful engagements have been with smaller teams who needed specific expertise for a specific problem, rather than a long-term commitment. If the scope is right, the size of the studio isn't a barrier.
Generally, you do. If it involves enhancements to our software, then this is something we will cover in our consulting agreement with you.
Yes, we generally request a mutual NDA so we can speak freely about our future plans.
Some of it. We work under NDA on most productions, which limits what we can discuss specifically. Where we have permission, we’re happy to share.
Yes. AdonisFX works across a wide range of production styles and character types, so it fits most pipelines in some form. We're happy to talk through your specific setup and help you figure out whether and how it makes sense for you.
