Cross-Platform Character Simulation
AdonisFX runs natively in both Maya and Houdini with uniform behavior. Build an anatomical rig in one application and it works identically in the other. For studios running hybrid pipelines where animation happens in Maya and simulation work moves to Houdini, characters now transfer between both environments without conversion or data loss.

Modular Framework
Not every character in a production needs the same treatment, but they should all live in the same pipeline. AdonisFX scales from rapid one-click setups for background work through to fully layered anatomical rigs for hero characters, with options in between for characters that need simulation detail without a complete rebuild. The same framework handles it all.
A Workflow For Every Situation
AdonisFX ships with three different workflows:
Classic - 'traditional' authoring with fine control over every aspect of setting up a multi-layer tissue system for the highest quality characters
Turbo - one-click automatic setup of a character. Perfect for when you need to get an initial result turned round for notes, and it's also great for rapid setup of background characters & agents
Hybrid - for when you have a solid deformation rig that you want to promote to a higher level of detail. Hybrid gives a fast path to extra detail without needing to do a complete new simulation setup
Interactive Performance
Scrub through the timeline and watch muscle compression, skin sliding, and fat dynamics update immediately. No caching needed. Artists see results as they work, which means more iterations per session and better creative decisions made while the work is fresh.
Fast-Converging Simulation
Jump to any frame in the timeline and the simulation converges to accurate results within seconds. No linear playback required. This capability has been core to AdonisFX since launch, but now works seamlessly with self-collision enabled. When a note comes in on frame 500, artists work on frame 500. The system doesn't need to process the preceding 499 frames first.
Self-Collision Detection
Advanced collision systems prevent muscle interpenetration during extreme poses or complex creature deformations. The system maintains anatomical plausibility without requiring manual clean-up passes, which becomes critical when dealing with hundreds of shots featuring dense anatomical setups.
